What’s a GushyGram?
At MushyGushy, we call all of our e-greetings (which we refer to as Me-greetings) “GushyGrams.” Unlike traditional e-greeting sites, offering low budget, “kindergarten animations” of silly little characters singing and dancing (zzzzzzzzzzzz…please wake me when it’s over!), GushyGrams let you and your friends actually star in your own mini-animated movies. You won’t believe the reactions you’ll get!
We’ll give you the tools to easily upload photos and then cut out heads to place right into the animated action. It’s so much fun that you won’t be able to stop watching yourself! We also let you adjust skin tones in the animations to match your photo heads’ facial complexion…which is a very cool feature, don’t you agree? You can also switch genders to match your recipient. We’ve got it all covered, promise.
How do I create my photo heads?
We’ve provided you with a very entertaining (and informative) animated tutorial on the site starring the lovable “Mushyman.” In just a few minutes, he’ll have you creating GushyGrams like you’re a pro. Click here to view our tutorial!
Using our Head Transplant Tool (HTT), creating your photo heads is easy! Follow these easy steps:
- Pick Your Photo
- Upload a photo from your own computer.
- Select a photo head from your Head Case.
- Extract Your Photo Head
- Using the Cranial Cookie Cutter (CCC), you can zoom and rotate your photo to properly “cut out” the selected head. You can choose a template and line up the eyes, nose, and mouth proportionately.
- Personalize Your Photo Head
- Enter the name associated with the photo head as well as whether the photo head represents the sender (you) or a recipient.
- Select a gender and choose from a palette containing 20 different skin tones.
- Fine Tuning
- Use the “handles” (red triangles and blue dots) that appear around your photo head to tweak the exact shape of the head.
- Don’t lose your head! If you are a Member, you can save this photo head in your Head Case to use in all of your GushyGrams.
How do I personalize a GushyGram?
Browse through our selection of GushyGrams and click “Pick This Card” to personalize and send. If you’ve already cut out your heads, just drag them into the card from your Head Case. Otherwise, use our Head Transplant Tool to cut out and personalize your photo head.
Once the photo heads are in your GushyGram, enter the names and email addresses of the sender (you) and the recipient. You can also type in a custom message. If you’ve selected one of our “Interactive” GushyGrams, this is where you can customize the interactive elements.
How do I send a GushyGram?
Traditional Email Notification – This method is free. Your recipient gets an email with a link to their GushyGram.
How do I view my GushyGram?
You can view your GushyGram using the link emailed to you and your recipient. You can also view all GushyGrams that you have sent by going to your "My Account" page (via the link on the bottom of each page of the site).
How long does my GushyGram stay live?
Your GushyGram stays live indefinitely. But, if you’re using Google as a delivery method, your “search phrase” and “link phrase” stay live for 72 hours, after that you can view your GushyGram only with the direct link.
